How we make money
PanelPerks is free for you. When you request a quote or click through to a provider, we may earn a referral fee or commission from that solar company. That's our only revenue — you never pay us, and the fee doesn't change your price.
We're not a solar company
We don't sell, install, finance, or service solar systems, and we're not a tax advisor. We're an independent guide that helps you understand the 2026 numbers and connects you with local installers and sellers who do the work.
Where our numbers come from
2026 changed the rules — the 30% homeowner tax credit ended, while farms and businesses kept a strong commercial-credit stack. Every figure we show traces to a primary source (IRS, USDA, EIA), carries a 'last verified' date, and modeled estimates are labeled as estimates, not guarantees.
Clear about what applies
When an incentive is paused (like USDA REAP grants in 2026), we show its current status rather than dangling it. When a figure is an estimate, we label it as one.
